At Unique Ultrasound, we care about your health and feel you should be able to see what is going on in the inside. An ultrasound is the perfect way to accomplish that. So often you are not aware that there is a health problem until there is a symptom and that is where Ultrasound Health Screening can help! By catching a health problem in the early onset, treatment is usually less invasive and has a higher percentage of a positive outcome.
Our Sonographers are certified and well trained in these ultrasounds and our team of radiologist provide you with a detailed report that you can share with your healthcare provider if a health problem is found, like kidney stones, gall stones, blocked arteries, cysts or lumps.
A stoke remains the third leading cause of death in the United States. Approximately 700,000 people in the U.S. suffer a stroke each year and 500,000 of these are first time attacks. A simple ultrasound scan of your carotid arteries will determine any blockage or plaque build up!
It is estimated that 27 million Americans have thyroid disease, and over half are undiagnosed. An ultrasound scan of the thyroid is typically used to help diagnose a lump in the thyroid or one that is not functioning properly which can cause weight gain or loss among other symptoms.
An abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) can be life-threatening if it bursts. AAA grows slowly, without symptoms and that is why a regular ultrasound is important. Aneurysms that are large or growing can be repaired with surgery.
The Gallbladder screening will detect gallstones and other abnormalities.
Most liver diseases have only mild symptoms initially, but it is vital that these diseases be detected early. An ultrasound of your liver will detect the beginning stages of liver disease.
An ultrasound of your kidneys finds abnormalities in appearance and kidney stones.
This ultrasound will include an ultrasound scan of your liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, and kidneys. The blood vessels that lead to some of these organs, such as the inferior vena cava and aorta, can also be examined with this ultrasound.
