The technology of ultrasound was introduced into the medical community more than 60 years ago. Today it is considered the best non-invasive, essential obstetric tool in accurately examining a growing baby. Ultrasounds uses high frequency sound waves transmitted through a transducer which is placed on the mother’s abdomen. The sound waves travel through soft tissue and amniotic fluid, but bounce off dense surfaces that then produce the image we see.

The use of 3D/4D/HD live ultrasound produces easier to see images for the untrained eye than the normal 2D technology. The ability for expecting families to view their baby’s pictures and movements creates bonding experiences and life long memories.

Robin is the owner of Unique Ultrasound Surprise and is a Mom of three and a Nana of seven. She opened Unique Ultrasound in 2006 to share with families the joy of seeing their expected baby in 3d/4d! Robin has always had a passion for babies and children!

Robin works hard to bring to families a place to come for learning and the list of classes and groups is growing. Robin says "We’re always looking for ways to accommodate our families like offering Skype so the Dads that are deployed, or Grandparents that are out of town, can be a part of the ultrasound experience here at Unique Ultrasound Surprise."

My name is Raquel, and I am a mom to identical twin boys.

I have been a 3/d 4d sonographer for over 10 years, received my degree with WCUO in 2009, and have been in the Medical field for over 20 years. I really do enjoy helping others.

I am beyond Blessed to be part of such a special time in expecting parents' lives, and I hope to continue this journey with Unique Ultrasound Surprise.

Jordan

Hi, my name is Jordan and I am an ultrasound technician. I have my Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Imaging.

Patient care has always been a joy of mine, before I got into the world of sonography I was a caregiver where I quickly learned to adapt to the needs of my patient ensuring I was giving the best of myself.

My dream has been to work in the OB/GYN field as no other scan has made my heart as happy! It truly amazes me what the human body can do from the time baby is as small as a grain of rice to the time of birth I am fully invested! Nothing beats the connections I’ve made with the families of the little ones when the flicker of the heartbeat is seen or even determining the gender 💙💖
